Would you and your family like to enjoy the real spring feeling? Then come to the Bollenstreek and walk the special walking route along the tulip fields of De Tulperij. The walk is entirely outdoors and spaciously laid out to meet all the RIVM guidelines.
About the family walk
The De Tulperij Flower Bulb Company family walk is a 2-kilometre route that takes you past the tulip fields, the show garden and the tulip-picking garden. Along the way, you will see signs with information about the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. Of course, there are several beautiful locations along the way for the best photos and videos. For the children, there are fun questions to answer.
Outside there are also large games for the kids. Mega Jenga, a giant four in a row, a big pisser game and much more. The children will certainly not be bored.
Opening hours
The family walk can be walked every day during the flowering season from Saturday 20 March to Saturday 15 May 2021. The opening times are as follows:
- Monday 09.00 – 17.00 hrs.
- Tuesday 09.00 – 17.00 hrs.
- Wednesday 09.00 – 17.00 hrs.
- Thursday 09.00 – 17.00 hrs.
- Friday 09.00 – 17.00 hrs.
- Saturday 09.00 – 17.00 hrs.
- Sunday 09.00 – 17.00 hrs.
Coffee to go
On the outside grounds of the Tulperij is a Coffee to Go location where you can go for a drink and a snack. You can then enjoy these during the walk.
Prices
The family walk is included in the admission fee to De Tulperij. Besides the walk, you can marvel at the many varieties of spring flowers in the show garden.

How do you get to the Tulperij?
By car
You can navigate to the address Oude Herenweg 16B in Voorhout. You can park on our own grounds and parking is free. Please note that there are a limited number of parking spaces available.
By bicycle or walking
The Tulperij is located between cycle junctions 55 and 58. A good opportunity to take a break at the Tulperij and enjoy the silence and the beautiful view of the bulb fields. There are also two lovely cycle routes that pass by the Tulperij:
- Tuliproute, a cycle route of 15 kilometres including audio tour which is very suitable for families. The route costs €5.00 and includes an entrance fee to De Tulperij (excluding food and drink).
- Bollenstreek Flower Route, a 35-kilometre cycle route along the beach, the dunes and the most beautiful flowers. This route is ideal for cycling from Katwijk, Noordwijk, Zandvoort, Noordwijkerhout, Hillegom, Voorhout Sassenheim or Lisse to De Tulperij.
By public transport
The Tulperij can be reached by bus line 50. You can get off at the stop Beekbrug in Lisse. It is then a 10-minute walk to the flower bulb farm. For the most up to date public transport travel information, go to 9292.nl
